Hyperform has a long history of manufacturing quality products for the action sports and marine industries.  Started in 1980 by two brothers, Kurt and Jim Wilson, the company was created to manufacture fiberglass fins “Hyperform Fins” for surf and sail boards.  Among other project, we began fabricating composite parts for small aircraft.

In the early 1990’s, while experimenting with an innovative surf-strap system we saw that the EVA foam used in the fabrication process was the same or similar to the foam being used on surfboard traction pads.   Hyperform started manufacturing EVA traction pads for the surfing industry under the new label “X-Trak”.  They quickly gained success as one of the premier manufacturers and branched out into sailboard pads, wakeboard/skate pads, kiteboard pads, kneeboard pads and many other EVA based products.

Next followed the creation of SeaDek, a versatile, marine nonskid, padded surface for boats of all kind.  SeaDek has quickly created a place for itself in a market where before there were few viable nonskid options.   The brand continues to expand it's product offerings while becoming a valuable supplier to major OEMs.

Hyperform's most recent endeavor, MAGMA Surf Wax, has just initiated international distribution into a long stagnant product market. Surf wax has largely remained unchanged for decades.  MAGMA has added innovation to both the form and function of a bar of wax and it's packaging and looks forward to a bright future as the new industry standard.

And even though we've been around for years, this is just the beginning.  2008/2009 look to be two of the most exciting years yet.  We have several new product launches planned for the months to come.
